Icon Accounting - Helping Focus Ireland and Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH)

This year we decided to donated to two homeless charities – Focus Ireland and Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH). The current homeless crisis is at unprecedented levels in Ireland. The detrimental affects of losing your home and the stress of the consistent threat of rent increases is something that cannot be ignored. The issue is never too far from the headlines and rightly so.  However, if it was not for the many homeless charities and their volunteers, I dread to think what the situation would be like without these services which are life lines in the community. Icon Accounting staff wanted to get involved and we decided to donate to Focus Ireland’s ‘Sponsor a Star’ campaign.  This campaign allows you to have a star on their beautiful Christmas tree on the top of Dublin’s Grafton Street. Also, all staff members enthusiastically purchased, packed and wrapped shoe boxes for the Dublin charity – Inner City Helping Homelessness (ICHH) annual Shoe Box Appeal. ICHH got massive support from companies, schools and individuals this year reflecting how this crisis is ever in the consciousness of the Irish people. We hope our contribution puts a smile on the face of a few people this Christmas…and puts a smile on your face watching our attempt at the Mannequin Challenge!
