Icon Accounting Supporting Dublin Sonics Basketball Club

Icon Accounting are proud sponsors of Dublin Sonics Basketball Club since it’s foundation in 2014. As a company, we acknowledge that we have a responsibility to positively impact our local community and we quickly recognised the potential of The Dublin Sonics Basketball Club from the outset. Based in Tyrrelstown, Dublin Sonics Basketball Club are committed to their athlete’s development first, development of teammates second and lastly the development of basketball players.  They recognise the importance of sport and social inclusion for all involved and it is because of this environment that allows their players grow individually and together as team. This season (2016-2017) has seen 4 out of their 5 teams being in contention for their respective leagues which is some feat considering they are second smallest club in the Dublin Men’s Basketball region with just 34 players playing across 5 teams. The hard work, commitment and unwavering efforts of the coaches and management ensure that they have adopted a big club mentality to guarantee all players receive at least 2 training sessions per week.  Due to this, the club operates at a significant loss and this is where Icon Accounting’s sponsorship aids the club to ensure these sessions continue. Icon Accounting are always keen to get the match results and updates on the teams and ensure to The Sonics look as good as they play we recently sponsored club tracksuits for all the players! These tracksuits were worn by The Sonics at the Dublin Cup final and at a recent International club tournament in Sligo and they will don them again in Derry when we hope they replicate their win! We wish The Sonics continued success for the remainder of the season and for the years to come!
